The Choconut Center Christian Church, originally built in 1854, has a rich history and has been a cornerstone of its community for decades. In 1974, the church was relocated to its current location at 5 Lewis Rd., where a new roof was installed. However, after nearly 50 years and multiple repairs, the roof is now in desperate need of replacement. With only about 25 members, the church plays a vital role in local community outreach programs, but the funds required for a new roof would have to be taken from resources dedicated to these important services. Assistance with replacing the roof would greatly help this historic church continue its mission.

My dear husband is an incredible father to our four children, and he works tirelessly to keep a roof over our heads. Recently, he suffered a heart attack, which has been a difficult and heartbreaking experience for our family. Despite his health challenges, he continues to express his wish to replace our leaking roof, as he worries about the safety and comfort of our home.

I know he would do anything to make sure we have a secure and dry place to live, but the financial strain has made it impossible for us to afford the necessary repairs. He and our children truly deserve this opportunity to have a new roof. It would be a dream come true for our Brooklyn home, and it would lift a tremendous burden off his shoulders during this challenging time.
